Water Droplet – Macro Photography

Like I explained in my Still Life post, when doing Macro Photography, some key elements are having clarity, detail and light. Something that you can add into your Macro shots is the element of water. By adding a water droplet, your photos can be enhanced to a whole new level. If you have a element behind your subject with the water droplet, you will even be able to see the background subject¬†through¬†the water droplet! Keep in mind when you are experimenting with water droplets to keep about a 6″ distance behind your front subject and to drop the water slow as to not have it drop off.

It was really interesting to me to see the different ways you can manipulate Macro Photography to take it from being a normal average photo to something amazing. I used my Macro Lens, a ring light as well as a 21mm macro tube to create more depth and detail in my images. It was an amazing experience and I look forward to doing more Macro Photography.
